Santo Antão Sul
The Associação Regional de Futebol de Santo Antão Sul (ARFSSA) is the governing association of futebol in the southern division. It was founded in 1997 and hosts a campeonato regional, cup, and supercup competitions. There is also an opening tournament that occurs occasionally.
Games in the regional league are played at the Estádio Municipal do Porto Novo in Porto Novo. The regional league has been dominated by Associação Académica do Porto Novo who have been crowned champions 14 times. Like the North division, the South has failed to win the national championship. Sanjoanenses are the reigning regional champions.
