The Associação Regional de Futebol da Brava (ARFB) was founded in 1981. Brava is one of three islands that has yet to produce a national champion. Nô Pintcha and Morabeza are the two most successful teams in the regional league having won 15 and 12 titles respectively.
When competitions are held they include the Supertaça deja Braba, a cup competition between the regional league and cup winners; an opening tournament in the fall; the regional league; and regional league.

Unfortunately, the ARFB canceled the campeonato regional this year with the association claiming that no teams were successfully registered.
