Cabo Verde rises in FIFA rankings

The Cabo Verde women’s national team has risen four spots, to 125th, in the latest FIFA rankings. Mongolia, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and Kyrgyzstan Republic were the countries that dropped in rankings to make way for the Blue Sharks. Among African nations, Nigeria remains the highest ranked in 36th.

The ranking improvement is not only a reflection of the improvements on the pitch but also the investment in the Women’s game on the domestic and international level.
