We start in the first division where Associação Académica do Fogo and Botafogo Futebol Clube are competing for top spot in the league. Sunday saw the remaining games from the first division play out. Despite missing a penalty earlier in the game, Sota, from Vulcânico Clube do Fogo, scored the game winner over Luzabril FC. The result failed to change the table. In the final game of the weekend, Juventus de Curral Grande and União de São Lourenço played to a 1-1 draw keeping the two in 8th and 9th places, respectively.
