GD Palmeira win the Sal regional league

Grupo Desportivo Palmeira from the Ilha do Sal have clinched the regional championship with a 2-0 win over third placed Académica do Sal. This maintains Palmeira’s 6 point lead over second placed Académico do Aeroporto do Sal. GD Palmeira will go on to represent that ARFS in the national championship. They were unbeaten this season with 10 wins and only 2 draws, coming to SC Verdun and Académico do Aeroporto early in the season.
